Anose is a 19-year-old sponsored young person from our Prévilé sub site in Haiti South. Both of her parents have died and she and her five siblings are struggling to stay together in their family home.
For the last few months, Anose has been suffering with eye pain, which has affected her vision and ability to study..
She saw a specialist at the clinic in Gateau and was referred to the Cays hospital for follow-up as her situation is now more complicated, with the same painful condition having spread to her other eye.
With Chalice's support, on May 13th she went to the hospital for her appointment, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she was not permitted to enter the hospital. After contacting several other facilities, she was finally seen by a specialist and diagnosed.
The cost associated with Anose's medication, glasses, food supplements, medical bills, and travel to the hospital, is $1,393.30. Since her siblings do not have the means available to help her obtain proper medical treatment, Chalice's Haiti South sponsor site has requested financial support to cover the cost of her treatment. All Anose wants is to feel healthy again so she can finish school.
Funding Request: $1,393.30
