Five-year-old Tracy is an unsponsored boy from our Tondo Site in Philippines.
He was born with a congenital heart defect (Tetralogy of Fallot) which is a rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects. These defects, which affect the structure of the heart, cause oxygen-poor blood to flow out of the heart and to the rest of the body.
Tracy requires immediate surgery to repair the defects in his heart but his family has no means to pay. His father used to work as a cashier in a convenience store but has been jobless since finishing his six month contract. His family of four now relies solely on the grandfather's meagre salary as a local police officer, which is barely enough to meet the family's basic living expenses.
The sponsor site director has asked Chalice for $3,541.45 to cover the cost of the surgery.
Funding Request: $3,541.45
Critical Need: PTM1119
Please note that any donations that exceed the request will be used to fund other critical need emergencies that may arise.
