Camila underwent surgery on November 9, 2018 in Santiago, funded through a Chalice critical need request. It was a risky operation with a low rate of survival, but thanks to the grace of God, Camila survived.
She has recently been hospitalized and urgently needs three MRIs in order to continue with her current medical treatment.
The Arica hospital doesn't have MRI equipment, so the family must pay for the MRIs at a different hospital. Camila has access to public health insurance that covers most medical treatments; however, procedures and medication which is not available at her local hospital must be paid out of pocket.
The total cost for the MRIs is $3,669.73. This family does not have the ability to pay for the procedures and our Chalice sponsor site has reached out to us for funding assistance.
