Jancirani is a mother of three and homemaker living near our Tamil sponsor site. In early April, Janicrani fainted and temporarily remained unconscious.
At 53, Janicrani was taking medication for high blood sugar, which her doctors diagnosed when she started having bouts of light-headedness.
When she fainted, her family rushed her to the hospital. Scans found that she had blood clots in the veins leading to her brain. She was treated in-hospital for four days and is now under medication to clear the clots. She will need medication for a year and will have monthly follow-ups. After a year, if the clots have not completely cleared, she will need surgery.
While Janicrani and her family are reassured that she is in care, this sudden emergency has incurred medical bills of $913.03 CAD, which are far beyond her husband’s income as a carpenter. Therefore, the Tamil sponsor site have requested the full amount, which includes Janicrani’s consultation fees, medicine for a year, hospital fees, lab tests, diagnostic scans and physiotherapy.
