Pavithra lives with her parents and her three sisters in a hollow-block structure with a tiled roof in Batlagundu, India. She is in grade six and likes Math class the best. She enjoys reading and writing. Her parents work as agricultural daily-wage labourers, and are struggling to provide the basic needs of their daughters. Pavithra wants to be able to continue her education because her goal is to someday become a doctor. She wants to be able to help her parents and support others in her community. Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and provides the supplies they need to get a good education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
