Bhargav lives with his parents in a small bamboo hut with a mud floor and a tin roof, in Assam, India. He is in grade seven and his best subject is Science. He is trying his best to do well at school. His favourite activity is playing cricket with his friends. At home, he is responsible for helping with the household chores. Bhargav's father is a daily-wage labourer, struggling to provide his family's basic needs. During the rainy season, his community suffers from flooding. Bhargav would like to be able to continue his studies because he would like to become a doctor someday. At the Assam Sponsor Site, the Sisters of the Cross of Chavanod provide children with educational support, proper nutrition, medical care, health awareness, and other basic daily needs to provide them with hope for a better future.
