Jhojan lives with his parents, one brother and two sisters, in a one-room brick structure in Sucre, Bolivia. He is in grade five at Sagrada Familia School and his best subject is Math. He enjoys studying his lessons, reading, and playing soccer with his friends. At home, he helps his father with all his chores. Jhojan would like to become a professional soccer player someday. His parents are struggling to make ends meet. At the Levantate Mujer Sponsor Site, sponsorship provides children with access to shelter, a soup kitchen, and school and spiritual support. The Sisters specialize in working with victims of violence, families affected by HIV/AIDS and victims of drug and human trafficking.
