New Media Assistant (2 positions)
Chalice (Canada) has two openings for the position of New Media Assistant. These will be full time - 35 hours/week, 14 week term. One position is for a Co-op student and the other can qualify as a Co-op position (if required). Students will have daily person-to-person instruction from the Communications Manager and Communications Specialist.
Position Description: Assist Communications team in creation and distribution of communications content, social media usage, and post scheduling (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), SEO and analytics, write and edit articles for newsletters, brochures, and blog; working with video clips, uploading to YouTube, working with online financial reports, Excel, and database entry. Must be a student completing a Co-op program with a recognized post-secondary institution (Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, BA) or a student returning to studies in the fall.

Fund Development Assistant
Chalice is hiring a Fund Development Assistant for summer employment. This position is open to students who will be returning to school in the fall. The summer student will support the Fund Development staff in the planning, development, and implementation of campaigns to schools and parish communities, as well as individual sponsors and donors who support Chalice. These campaigns aim to increase awareness of poverty in developing countries and encourage fundraising to support development activities and projects that help those in need.
In close collaboration with the Fund Development staff, the successful candidate will conduct research, look into possible opportunities, and analyze previous campaigns in order to effectively contribute in the creation of brochures and other marketing materials to be used for upcoming campaigns. The summer student will work on the parish and school database to ensure that all information is updated. They will make calls to schools and parishes, inviting them to participate in our programs. The successful candidate will also participate in bi-weekly Fund Development and Communications staff meetings.
Knowledge of marketing principles, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong organizational and communication skills are assets. Being comfortable working in a prayer-filled environment is beneficial.
